I have a recipe for Cherry Delight is that what you mean?  Or do you
remember seeing a recipe I forgot about.  I'll Leave the net up.  Just in
from outside,
Ralphs front springs was needing help so the axle is down right now.

Cherry Delight

1 to 2 cans of cherry pie filling  put in bottom of 8 X 8 pan.

sprinkle on 1 Jiffy cake mix.

Dot with 1/4 cup of butter. (small slices thats what helps the cake mix
moist.)

Can sprinkle on 2 tablespoons of sugar for a glaze.

Let Bake at 375 F. until browned on top.

If that is not right let me know the net will be up for about 2 more hours.
